After I got home from my two eldest children’s t-ball game and had the dinner dished cleared, I read this on the Facebook page of one of the team coach’s wife:
This is going to be a lengthy post just keep reading on to the comments I put below. [Name removed] came home from baseball with 3 of her kids. They had supper and the kids were playing and she was reading just before bathtimes and the baby going down for the night. They had been home for over an hour. She went outside to have a cigarette.
She looked up at the house and saw a man looking out the babies window.
She thought it surely wasn’t a man it must be the dog in the babies crib. The kids have put the dog in the crib.
She went upstairs to get the dog out of the crib. She got to the top of the stairs and looked in the babies room. Which is the first room you come to.
Before she even reached the landing at the top she saw a man crouched in the babies room by the dresser.
She took off like the wind and grabbed the kids and threw them in the van and took off. When she got down her road a little she stopped and buckled the kids in.
Imagine this is your family.
The father is at work. Working second shift can be nerve wracking enough for a father and husband, but now there is a history of home invasion.
There is someone out there who wants to squat down in the rooms of our children. And you know what’s even more troublesome to me?
I work second shift from time to time.
Tell me, you gun grabbers out there, should I tell my wife that if she’s home alone and this monster enters the house that using a gun to defend herself and the kids isn’t what the Founders intended and we should get rid of the pump action 12 gauge we keep next to the bed?
Or should I tell her that it’s loaded and to get the kids behind her and to fire at will?
I hope you’ll excuse me if I choose the latter.

I agree with you totally!
What exactly would calling 911 do for you with the monster in the house?
I no longer have "little ones" eldest is 6'2'. He and his younger brother both know how to handle themselves and weapons.
Wife knows where my carry gun is secured when not on my hip and knows where the .357 is secured in the bedroom.
You have to be able to protect yourself.
I intend to.

Waste him.
Waste him.
I've got an M1911 A1 .45 next to the bed in a holster. My wife is well versed, and practiced, in it's use… no more need be said.
