Herman Cain Leads Fox News Poll

The Cain Train doesn’t seem to be derailed. While some were expecting his rise to be temporary, his poll numbers seems to be steady or rising.

The message is reaching the people.

“Herman Cain’s solutions and ideas are not just for one segment of America but for the benefit of all Americans. Herman’s message of inclusion and his straight forward problem solving approach are attracting many supporters,” said Mark Block, Chief Operating Officer for Friends of Herman Cain.

The Fox News poll has Cain leading Romney by four points:

If he wants to keep or expand that lead, he could do worse than to follow the advice Jimmie Bise offered up in an open letter on his blog:

I know you are a smart man, but you don’t look smart when you get sandbagged by a question the average blogger could have answered at least moderately well. Your poll numbers are still very good, even after a debate performance that should have sunk you, but they won’t stay that way if you have another week like this week. This is where your inner circle can help you immensely. Just spend some time during the day in conversation with them about the news. You don’t have to drill deeply into the issues; table talk along will help give you the basic information you need. Put some of the topics for upcoming interviews on the table and kick them around over dinner. Those talks will help you more than you think, and they’ll help you relax a bit, too.

Sound advice.

None of the Rep candidates are good. Cain is not pro-life, but he’s better than the rest.

    James,

Mr. Cain is incredibly pro-Life.  He used the expression “choice” in his interview with Piers MOrgan, and the pro-Life crowd all gasped, since they were not really listening to his words, but instead listening to see if he would  say something they didn’t like.  In other words, unless you tout the pro-Life message, as approved by the pro-Life militants, you are a fraud.  Pfft.

National Right to Life Committee Vouches for Herman Cain:

So enough of this nonsense about Mr. Cain being pro-choice(death).  If the NRLC endorses him, and the talking heads of the media do not, who shall you believe?

It comes back to the age old question of  weather your time is better spent shoring up your weaknesses or compensating for them by maximizing your strengths. If your shortcomings are powerful enough to sink you, better find a way to mitigate them.  If you shortcomings are more in the catagory or personal quirks who make you who you are, maximize your strengths and you will eventually overwhelm the weaknesses in  the long run.  Duane is one who should ignore his weaknesses and maximize strengths.  Cain better do a little of both.

Based on his words I can’t tell where Cain really stands on abortion.. but I can tell you that no one running for the Republican nomination is more pro-life than the OB Doctor who delivered more than 4000 babies, Dr Ron Paul….and hes gaining in the polls, hes about ready to pass Perry.
