Chief Justice John Roberts said the individual mandate is Constitutional as a tax.
Jay Carney says it’s not a tax, it’s a penalty.
Republicans say it’s a tax.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi says it’s a ta…penalty.
Rush Limbaugh says it’s the biggest tax increase in the history of history.
Obama says it’s just a penalty that will only affect 1 percent of the population.
I say who gives a crap what it’s called.
It’s still the use of force to tell all American citizens to buy something or go to jail.
That should be the focus. Americans should be outraged that any member of Congress would dare to tell them they had to engage in commerce or feel the full weight of the government fall upon them.
That fact should not be lost in this game of political semantics.
I saw this the other day and thought about it. It’s spot on:
The government is telling you to buy something, or else. What is it going to take for people to see the tyranny of that?

Not sure I totally agree with the picture, but it depends on how far we want to look back at our progressive loss of freedom (pun intended). The colonists tried for years to get the Crown to not discriminate against them with overbearing trade regulations and taxation. They endured the overall crap for decades.
I fear we’re headed in the same direction, but we have such a large portion of the population that is so ignorant and uneducated, and civil war would likely be the end of our country. We would be fighting ourselves for a long time, I think, and the harcore leftists/Islamists would likely stream into our country to try to finish us off. If they did it quick enough, we wouldn’t have time to unite against them.
