Yep, It Can: Obama Says GOP Message Can Be Reduced to a Tweet with Letters to Spare

President Obama thought he was being condescending to the right when he said the GOP message could be summed up in a tweet and have characters to spare, but I agree with him. We’ll get to that, but first, here’s what the intellectual in chief had to say:

“You can pretty much put their campaign on a tweet and have some characters to spare.”

Squinting at his teleprompter, Obama continued:

“The good news is, the American people generally agree with our vision. If you just put it in front of them, issue after issue, and you present the Democratic approach and the Republican approach, we win. The challenge is because folks are still hurting right now, the other side feels that it’s enough for them to just sit back and say, ‘Things aren’t as good as they should be and it’s Obama’s fault.’”

Anyone else sickened by the audacity of this guy complaining about the GOP blaming something on him after he’s spent his entire administration blaming everything from the economy to Biden’s verbal diarrhea on Bush?

And I agree you can boil the GOP message down to one tweet, but any decent writer could boil the messages of both sides down one tweet.

For example, message of the right might be:

While the left’s message would look more like:

Or even shorter:

It’s not that hard when you don’t feel the need to try to impress everyone with some vast, scripted vocabulary.
