I can’t be the only one who sees Atlas Shrugged style legislation being offered and passed, sees the economy in the tank as liberal politicians scramble to loot more from the producers and think of Ragnar Danneskjöld when you read stories like this:

A shipment of gold with a declared value of $625,000 has gone missing in a suspected heist at Miami International Airport, authorities said on Thursday.

A theft incident report from the Miami-Dade Police Department said the gold, packed in a box, arrived at Miami International early Tuesday morning on an American Airlines flight from Guayaquil, Ecuador.

For those who have yet to read Atlas Shrugged, this is Ragnar:

From the descriptions given of his activities, Ragnar had a fast ship that nevertheless carried guns capable of bombarding either another ship or a shore target at long range. Ragnar also had at his disposal at least one aircraft: a cargo carrier with which Ragnar would later transport large quantities of the gold he collected in his activities. The novel provides confusing clues as to whether or not this aircraft launched from and landed aboard his ship. Ragnar does boast at one point of “defying the law of gravitation,” but that is a specific reference to his carrying a record load of gold, more in fact than the aircraft was rated to carry.
