Did you know that in addition to blogging, we’re also founding members of Radio For Conservatives (RFC Radio)? It’s been almost a year now since we launched our conservative online radio station and we’re pretty happy with how far we’ve come in such a short time.
A year ago, we had three people, an idea and not much else. With the immediate help of a few fellow blogger activists we raised enough money to get the station launched and we were off! Since then we’ve grown from three people to a group of about 40 people who do shows, run servers, and administer everything.
If you’re not familiar with RFC Radio, we hope you’ll stop by and check it out. In addition to broadcasting a 24 hour audio stream, we also have podcasts of most of our shows and we’re currently working on building the biggest directory of conservative podcasts on the internet. There’s even a chat room so you can get in and talk with fellow listeners during the evening talk shows. It’s a pretty cool community that’s developing over there.
If you’re going to be at CPAC this year, we’ll be there broadcasting live and we’d love to talk with you. Stop by and see us and grab a laptop sticker or two. We might even have some other goodies to hand out.
If the Gunny approves of it, then it must be good. I’ll have to check it out.

Dear Andrew & Duane:
Has it really been a YEAR since I risked my reputation to partner up with you two and start an internet radio station and podcast portal?
Seems like only yesterday that Andrew called me at 6 a.m. (which he damn well knew was too early since I am usually just having my first cup of coffee around that time) and said, “Hey, I have a great f***ing idea, and if you don’t think it’s great, and agree to help me, I’m going to say f*** you and never speak to you again.” I mean, with a kick-off like that, this station was clearly destined to succeed.
I will now break out into a heartfelt rendition of “Looks Like We Made It” by Barry Manilow (sob).
I’m a little amazed that we are still “on the air,” that our creditors are happy, that our Partners are still willing to be associated with us, and that we haven’t been sued for something. (Dammit, Andrew: I TOLD you that if we wanted to boost the RFC ratings, someone big needed to sue us!)
Looking back on Year One, one wonders what in the heck Year Two can dream up to surprise us…

I’m looking forward to a wonderful year #2, my own RFC anniversary is Feb 24. Once we take over the world I’ll be scheduling the American Czar Idol tour to find the best and brightest. Paula Abdul is already interested in being a judge. ;-)
