“Would you mind signing this petition to put all gun owners in the FEMA camps?” (Video)

By |February 4th, 2014|The Blog|0 Comments|

Mark Dice took a clip board and a pen and tried to see if college students would support repealing the Second Amendment.

When they did, he ratcheted up the crazy, asking them to support rounding all gun owners up, putting them in FEMA camps and eventually, executing them.

Behold, America’s future:

Unreal.

Smith & Wesson To End Gun Sales in California Over Microstamping Law

By |January 23rd, 2014|The Blog|1 Comment|

SmithWesson_Logo

California passed a law that told gun manufacturers to make guns that microstamp ammunition.

Smith & Wesson said they’d just stop selling guns in California:

The announcement late Wednesday came a week after the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for firearms manufacturers, filed suit against California for requiring that all new semi-automatic pistols that are not already on the state’s approved gun roster have the microstamping technology.

Microstamping is a patented process that, in theory, would have a unique code on the tip of a gun’s firing pin that would engrave that information on the casing when fired.

Here’s the problem: the microstamping technology doesn’t exist.

In less polite terms, it didn’t work, still doesn’t work, and cannot be made to work. Secondly, the legislation (like most) was so poorly written that no gun manufacturer can even know if he is in compliance or not. To date, no crime has ever been solved with the aid of this non-existent technology!

Regardless of the technology, the law is doing what it was designed to do: limit the Second Amendment rights of Californians.

The good news is, all the gangs will soon be disarmed.

Right?

How to Show the World You’re Completely Ignorant About Guns, By CA State Senator Kevin de Leon (Video)

I saw this video posted at The Daley Gator, but when I saw it, I thought, “I’m not watching a twenty minute video.”

After watching this video, I’m rethinking that decision:

Wow. I mean, he gives this woman a run for her money on ignorance.

My favorite part about this is the ad Google chose for my viewing pleasure:

Well played, Google. Well played.

Well played, Google. Well played.

Detroit Top Cop: Concealed Carry Saves Lives, Stops Crime

By |January 3rd, 2014|The Blog|0 Comments|

Detroit’s top cop had to go through a paradigm shift when he left California, but Maine taught him a valuable lesson: concealed carry permit owners deter crime and save lives:

jamescraig

“When we look at the good community members who have concealed weapons permits, the likelihood they’ll shoot is based on a lack of confidence in this Police Department,” Craig said at a press conference at police headquarters, adding that he thinks more Detroit citizens feel safer, thanks in part to a 7 percent drop in violent crime in 2013.

Craig said he started believing that legal gun owners can deter crime when he became police chief in Portland, Maine, in 2009.

“Coming from California (Craig was on the Los Angeles police force for 28 years), where it takes an act of Congress to get a concealed weapon permit, I got to Maine, where they give out lots of CCWs (carrying concealed weapon permits), and I had a stack of CCW permits I was denying; that was my orientation.

“I changed my orientation real quick. Maine is one of the safest places in America. Clearly, suspects knew that good Americans were armed.”

While correlation does not equal causation, this result isn’t limited to Maine. The areas with the highest rate of gun violence, Chicago, New York, Washington DC, also have strict gun control. But areas with liberal gun laws see lower incidents of gun violence.

There’s something to what Craig is saying.

Brilliant: PA Guns Laws Disarm State Trooper When He’s Off Duty

By |December 30th, 2013|The Blog|0 Comments|

A state trooper in Pennsylvania can’t have a gun when he’s off duty because a few years ago he was involuntarily committed for mental health reasons seven years ago:
GP_K100_MARK6

[Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael L.] Keyes’ latest attempt to be allowed to have a gun all the time was rejected this week by the state Superior Court.

That court upheld an earlier ruling by Perry County Senior Judge Keith B. Quigley that Keyes’ involuntary mental health commitment constitutes an unsurmountable legal barrier to his ability to possess a gun while off duty.

An attempt to reach Keyes’ attorney, Joshua Prince, for comment on the case wasn’t successful Thursday. Keyes has been involved in legal battles ever since completing his mental health treatment. He also had to fight to be reinstated to the state police.

Now I don’t know Keyes. He could be the best trooper in Pennsylvania.

But one has to wonder why it’s legal for him to have a gun at work, in one of the more stressful jobs in America.

Harvard Study Shows Gun Control Doesn’t Work; Piers Morgan, Mayor Bloomberg Hardest Hit

By |August 28th, 2013|The Blog|0 Comments|

The Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy took a look at gun control around the world and, using facts, found that gun control doesn’t really work.

No news to you and me, but the liberal hive mind is doing this:

no-way

The truth is tough for some to accept:

The Harvard study attempts to answer the question of whether or not banning firearms would reduce murders and suicides.  Researchers looked at crime data from several European countries and found that countries with HIGHER gun ownership often had LOWER murder rates.

Russia, for example, enforces very strict gun control on its people, but its murder rate remains quite high.  In fact, the murder rate in Russia is four times higher tahn in the “gun-ridden” United States, cites the study. ”Homicide results suggest that where guns are scarce other weapons are substituted in killings.” In other words, the elimination of guns does not eliminate murder, and in the case of gun-controlled Russia, murder rates are quite high.

The study revealed several European countries with significant gun ownership, like Norway, Finland, Germany and France – had remarkably low murder rates. Contrast that with Luxembourg, “where handguns are totally banned and ownership of any kind of gun is minimal, had a murder rate nine times higher than Germany in 2002.

The study found no evidence to suggest that the availability of guns contributes to higher murder rates anywhere in the world.

”Of course, it may be speculated that murder rates around the world would be higher if guns were more available. But there is simply no evidence to support this.”

There’s plenty of evidence to prove the opposite though.

Stevie Wonder Boycotts Florida Over Stand Your Ground Laws, Along With 30 Other States

By |July 17th, 2013|The Blog|0 Comments|

Stevie Wonder says until Florida changes its Stand Your Ground laws, he’s not going to play there:

He’s got love for everyone.

And by everyone, he means everyone.

That guy breaking into your house to rape your daughter?

Loves him.

That guy crashing through your grandpa’s front door with gun?

Loves him.

That mob of kids gang raping your wife?

Nothing but love.

That guy who wants to stand his ground?

1336364503hmmm-gif

Hmmm…

Meanwhile, these states have similar Stand Your Ground laws:

  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Maine
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • New Hampshire
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • West Virginia
  • Wisconsin
  • Wyoming

So, unless he wants to be a complete hypocrite, he needs to boycott over half of the United States, including California.

Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns Reads Boston Bomber’s Name As A Victim of Gun Crime

By |June 19th, 2013|The Blog|0 Comments|

This is a great example of what I’ve been talking about.

Liberals keep trotting out gun death statistics as a method of bolstering their argument that more gun control is needed in America because so many people are dying.

“So many thousand people have died since Sandy Hook…”

You’ve seen them do it. What you don’t see is the circumstances those people were in when they were shot.

Were they shot by police?

Yeah, some of them were.

Like this guy:

abc_130428_tamerlan_tsarnaev_jt_130503_wg

Throughout the rally, organizers read a list of names of people who had been killed with guns since the Dec. 14 shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.
When they read Tsarnaev’s name, pro-gun supporters who were at the rally to counter Bloomberg’s group began shouting, “He’s a terrorist,” according to a report by Tim Buckland of the New Hampshire Union-Leader.
Tsarnaev was killed by police in a gun fight days after detonating bombs at the Boston Marathon.

Gun control activists use the death of a terrorist as a reason for you to surrender your firearms.

It’s how they convince the uninformed, the apathetic and the lazy to give up not only their rights, but yours.

Police Shoot & Kill Grandfather Mistaken for Burglar, While He Was Standing In His Own Yard

By |May 29th, 2013|The Blog|0 Comments|

Remember, guns are only safe when they are in the hands of people trained to use them.

Like the police:

A grandfather checking on his neighbor is shot and killed by Fort Worth police. The shots rang out early Tuesday morning near Woodhaven Country Club, in east Fort Worth.

Those close to the family say the victim lived nearby and heard his neighbor’s burglar alarm. Neighbor Jerry Wayne Waller then apparently went outside to see what was going on.

The 72-year-old man didn’t even make it to the house across the street before he was shot. He died on his own property.

So it’s early morning, so we can assume its dark. The cops respond to an alarm and standing in the darkness, probably wearing slippers and a pair of pajama pants is this guy:

thebadguy

I mean, why wouldn’t you open fire?

Speaking on the incident Fort Worth police Cpl. Tracey Knight said, “Officers felt threatened by the man with the handgun and he was shot.”

After the shooting Haskin said, “The police officers were sobbing uncontrollably and very distraught.”

How was the family?

True, I wasn’t there. But listen to how Jerry is described by his neighbors:

he and his family have always been very involved in the community. “They are just a nice retired couple, that loved working in their yard, having family over, and grandkids,”

Sound like someone that would have been waving a gun around like a crazy man?

Something stinks here. What do you think?

Kindergartener Gets Detention for Bringing a Lego Gun to School

By |May 29th, 2013|The Blog|3 Comments|

The stupidity of zero tolerance rules claims yet another victim, this time in Massachusetts:

article-0-1A0A2DA0000005DC-836_634x414

A 6-year-old kindergartner sparked an uproar at his Massachusetts school when he was spotted brandishing a tiny plastic Lego gun on the school bus last week.

Mieke Crane, the child’s mother, insists that officials at Old Mill Pond Elementary School in Palmer overreacted when another student saw the toy, which is slightly bigger than a quarter, and alerted the driver Friday.

‘She [driver] said he caused quite a disturbance on the bus and that the children were traumatized,’ Crane told the local station WGGB.

So, if I understand this correctly, Lego is not only producing toys that will traumatize children, but stores across the country are selling these monstrosities!?

tumblr_lzeigxaIyi1qkrxbwo1_500

You know what this is, right?

Straight up indoctrination.  Teach the children to be terrified of guns.  Teach the children to watch their friends. Teach them to alert authorities if someone violates a rule, even if it’s with a toy gun.

Reminds me of something:

Of course, we don’t have telescreens…yet. But the children are coming along nicely, aren’t they?
