MSNBC: Cain’s “Predatory Black Sexuality” May Scare GOP Away From Their “New Black Friend”

By |November 7th, 2011|The Blog|4 Comments|

I have an iron stomach, but this still made me want to vomit:

The idea that the GOP will suddenly become find the sexual harassment charges against Cain more offensive because they are from a white blonde is offensive, but par for the course from this bastion of absurdity.

But it does give a clear understanding of how they at MSNBC see the Republican party. You see, to them, we are “rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.” And Cain? He’s Sheriff Bart wondering:

This must be that new tone I keep hearing about.

Tired: MSNBC Analyst Says GOP Voters Like Cain “Because They Think He’s a Black Man Who Knows His Place.”

By |October 28th, 2011|The Blog|4 Comments|

Today on MSNBC, Karen Finney continued the meme that all Republicans are racist and any support of Herman Cain has to have some nefarious racist motivation.  The latest incarnation of this idea is, we support Herman Cain because “he’s a black man who knows his place.”

Yeah, that’s the idea.  We, the racists in the Republican party, want to take a black man we see as part of an inferior race, and elevate him to the highest office in the land because, once there, we’ll be able to control him.  Unless he goes and gets uppity and thinks that, because he’s president now he can go and start thinking for himself and such.

To these people, that scenario makes more sense than the idea we like Herman for his politics:

As I said before, they are flailing. They cannot wrap their minds around the idea that the right they have been taught to hate as racists, might not be racists.  So rather than accept the facts as Occam’s Razor would compel them to, they create these wild conspiracy theories.

Thank you MSNBC for Giving Al Sharpton His Own Show

By |August 23rd, 2011|The Blog|2 Comments|

I thought it couldn’t get any better than when President Obama picked Joe Biden as his second.

I was wrong. MSNBC has decided to finally add a little color to its lily white prime time lineup by giving Al Sharpton his own show:

REVEREND AL SHARPTON TO HOST “PoliticsNation” ON MSNBC

Program to Air at 6 pm ET Weeknights Beginning August 29th

NEW YORK – August 23, 2011 – Reverend Al Sharpton, the civil rights activist and minister, has been named host of “PoliticsNation,” a nightly program airing weeknights live at 6 p.m. ET on MSNBC. The announcement was made by Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC. “PoliticsNation” will debut on August 29. In his new role, Sharpton will lead a lively and informed discussion of the top headlines, bringing viewers his take on events in his signature style.

Let’s get a taste of that signature style:

Allen West is Bad Because His Brother is Unemployed; Meanwhile George Obama Still Lives in a Slum in Kenya – Updated

By |August 19th, 2011|The Blog|2 Comments|

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz spent four minutes on his show on Rep. Allen West’s brother, who attended the Congressional Black Caucus Job Fair. Schultz was apoplectic about the fact he was unemployed for ALMOST TWO MONTHS!!1!1

He berated the Congressman for not doing enough to get his brother a job.

Maxine Waters (D-espicable) made the claim that “black conservative Republicans don’t even care about people of their own skin color even if it is their brother.”

Clearly, Rep. Allen West is a terrible brother and a terrible person! How could he let his brother go without helping him?

What kind of awful person would let his brother live like that?

The Italian edition of Vanity Fair says it tracked down George Hussein Onyango Obama living in a rundown shack in Huruma on the outskirts of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.

By contrast, his older half-brother, Senator Obama, lives in a mansion he bought for $1.9 million in Chicago.

George Obama, 26, is the youngest of the presidential candidate’s seven half-brothers and half-sisters, and while the other siblings are close, he told the magazine he was embarrassed he lived “on less than a dollar a month”, and so never mentioned his famous half-brother.

“If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed. I live like a recluse.

“No one knows I exist.”

George told Vanity Fair he had been homeless for 10 years, and where he lived in Huruma was a “tough place”.

“I have seen two of my friends killed,” he said.

“I have scars from defending myself with my fists. I am good with my fists.”

So, if the fact that Allen West’s brother is out of work is proof that Black Republicans don’t care about black Americans, what does this say about President Obama, or the Democrats?

Especially since George is still living in a slum in Kenya.

I doubt Allen West would let his brother go homeless for ten years. Barack Obama cannot say that.

MSNBC Suspends Halperin For Calling Obama a “D*ck” on Morning Joe, Cites High Level of Discourse as Reason – No, Really

By |June 30th, 2011|The Blog|1 Comment|

On this morning’s “Morning Joe,” MSNBC political analyst Mark Halperin said that he thought President Obama “was kind of a dick yesterday.”

Here’s the video:

I love the way Scarborough says, “I’m behind you. You fall and I’ll catch you.” Then when Halperin falls, he not only let’s him drop, but starts kicking him when he’s down.

MSNBC cannot let a slight against the president go unpunished and has suspended Halperin for his comments, saying:

Mark Halperin’s comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.

Yeah, they had the chutzpah to say they “strive for a high level of discourse.”

Somebody forgot to give Rachel Maddow the memo:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Olbermann called President Bush the “Idiot-in-Chief.”

“We have either a President who is too dishonest to restrain himself from invoking World War III about Iran at least six weeks after he had to have known that the analogy would be fantastic, irresponsible hyperbole, or we have a President too transcendently stupid not to have asked, at what now appears to have been a series of opportunities to do so, whether the fairy tales he either created or was fed, were still even remotely plausible. The pathological presidential liar, or an idiot-in-chief.”

Those are some really high standards of discourse you got there. I guess it really matters who the target of the criticism is for the bar to be lowered.

AIM: MSNBC Wins, Olbermann Backs off Extending Program

By |June 24th, 2011|The Blog|1 Comment|

AIM on Facebook | Twitter

From Accuracy in Media‘s Don Irvine:

That was fast. After just four days of the new Countdown, Keith Olbermann has reversed course and conceded defeat to MSNBC and Rachel Maddow fans by declaring that he will no longer run his program into the 9 p.m. hour.

Maddow’s fans had complained about Olbermann’s deliberate decision to run his program past 9 p.m. and into the opening minutes of her program, but Olbermann was unapologetic, noting that Maddow appeared on the last few minutes of Lawrence O’Donnell’s program on Monday as a pre-emptive strike against Olbermann.

But Olbermann apparently had enough of the complaints and told his followers via Twitter that the program would no longer step on Maddow’s opening minutes:

At @current we’ll soon have a 9 PM companion commentary show to mine. But in the interim there is no reason for me to be overlapping with my friend Rachel, nor to ignore the wishes of those who’ve been so loyal to both of us for so long. We’ve heard you: as of tomorrow night Countdown finishes at 9. Bonus stuff will instead go to Countdown Online. Thanks for upsiding my head on this :)

Olbermann never really wanted to inflict any damage on Maddow personally, but was hoping to steal a little extra ratings juice for Current by going overtime as well as to stick it to MSNBC by attempting to drive Maddow’s ratings down a bit.

Well, as with most things since his launch this week, he failed to do either and has retreated with his tail between his legs.

It’s not easy being a liberal outcast.
